Sunshine Sunny!

Lately, Sunny's been full of HUGE smiles!!! I often wonder what we did to deserve such a happy baby. I mean, everybody who's seen him says his so happy... hahaha. I Love my baby. I wonder if the next one will be completely opposite. I hope not. I bet Sunny's so happy because of his happy name.  Help me think of a happy name for the next few!

Trip to the Fort Worth Botanic Garden

I went shopping crazy...

Sunny needs a bigger closet!!
I went shopping crazy at the consignments this week. Bought him a whole wardrobe of clothes from 12~24 months. A lot of hawaiian shirts. I just like them.  The most I spent was $4.50 on a Sean Jean shirt with shorts, the shirt is so silky and very high quality. When I showed Allen, he said it was black people clothes. Not cool. I had no idea. Sunny will wear it.

The rest were like $0.50~$1.50 a piece. I try to keep it under $2. I also splurged $5 on a nice pair of comfortable shoes.

Other than that, I got him a cool kid keyboard with stand and a chair for $5. Great finds at the consignments. The pic is the keyboard w/o the stand and the seat. And the penguin next to it, it wobbles back and forth and makes funny sounds when Sunny pushes it, but it never falls down (heavy rounded bottom). I named him Sam because he looks like Samwise Gamgee hahahaha.

Tips for Reducing a Baby's Fever

You know, sometimes when baby gets sick, when we take them to the doc, they don't really do much. they can't do much. Unless the fever is too high, over 100.5 which can cause fever seizure (feibrile seizure), there are ways to help reduce baby's fever... I'm going to try it next time Sunny gets sick...

Anyway, Sunny's developed separation anxiety... every time I turn around, he goes into fits of crying... sigh, what to do...

Got a friend at the library

So this baby friend of Sunny's, he started crawling a few days ago. He was crawling everywhere in the classroom. So I set Sunny down on his tummy and he was watching his new friend and was trying to crawl too, but he hasn't figured out that you can't crawl by lifting both arms and legs into the air. It was funny to watch Sunny starring at his new friend crawl while he grunts on his tummy trying to imitate the crawling unsuccessfully!

Can't get enough of Sunny

I take Sunny to the library every morning. He's growing so big. He loves his library class. And on Fridays, he goes to a really really awesome Mother's Day out program so I can go do my classroom observation. He's so happy there.

Food! Food! Food!

So what has Sunny learned so far? Well, he can roll over from back to front now

He's also learned to SCREAM on top of his lungs, and spit, and blow raspberries.

He started eating some solid foods:

rice cereal

avacado

banana

sweet potatoes

sweet peas (now this one was yucky... but he ate it all!)
